In 1975, in Princeton, N.J., Bill Stephens had a vision to create the best outdoor lights. Bill was a big SCUBA diver back then, so naturally the first lights he created were suited to his underwater passion.* Princeton Tec was born.
Fast forward to present day. A lot has come a long way: technology, innovation, growth, media, politics, economics, etc … But, one thing has remained the same – PTec’s roots to New Jersey. Their heritage runs deep and their top-of-the-line products are still being made in the Garden State. PTec creates and designs lights for five different categories: SCUBA, outdoor, bike, industrial, and tactical. Lights is what they do. Period.
As a leader in the outdoor lighting industry, PTec takes pride in keeping it real and being an American manufacturer. With that comes enhanced quality control and a better product, as well as supporting the local community and economy.
The creative video above is a glimpse into who PTec is and how lights are made. Enjoy.
* For those keeping score, Bill also created the first bottom-timer for diving.
