The Conservation Alliance this week announced some new elects to its board of directors. We were thrilled to work with CA Executive Director, John Sterling, to announce the news. Check out a brief summary of each new board member below and visit www.conservationalliance.com to get involved.
- Mark Heintz: Director of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability at Deckers Outdoor. Heintz is responsible for developing Deckers sustainability strategy and driving key initiatives in the areas of environmental sustainability, human rights and community affairs.
- Scott Whipps: Director of Sports Retail at Clif Bar and Company. Whipps oversees strategic sales planning and trade marketing for Clif Bar’s sports retail channel in the United States and Canada.
- Seth Cobb: 17-year employee at Merrell. Currently employed as VP and General Manager, responsible for the brand globally.
- Steve Barker (re-elected to a second term): Founder of Wild Places, LLC and founder of Eagle Creek Travel Gear, has served on The Conservation Alliance board for the past three years, chairing the Advocacy Committee. He also serves on the board of the Alaska Wilderness League.
The new board terms begin immediately after the August 1nd board meeting.
