Verde is growing, again! We’re looking for another superstar to help round out our Digital and Social Strategy team, and rather than write up a long-winded job description with a host of requirements, we’d rather do this Verde-style and start a little conversation. We’ll tell a little bit of our story, then see if you (or someone you know) can make a few suggestions for the next chapter.
First, a little bit about us. Verde is celebrating its tenth birthday this year. We’re a public relations and consulting agency that focuses on what we think are some pretty darn cool core markets: outdoors, natural products, health and wellness, fitness, travel and active lifestyles. Our digital, content and social team is a virtual team based in Durango and Boulder, Colorado and Seattle, Washington. We’re nimble, and we take on a lot: from building and managing client blogs; to developing custom websites and Facebook apps; to working with clients in all stages of transitioning to social business, and much, much more. And it’s important to all of us that our work and lives be harmonious, which is why we’re looking for some help.
You? Our ideal candidate has experience doing community management and social practice for big and small brands, including both customer-facing communications and in-house advocacy for social programs. Excellent written communication is also key. If you get jazzed about identifying and connecting with influencers and brand ambassadors, both online (and I don’t mean Klout) and offline, we’ll have lots to talk about. If you also get jazzed about working with a boss who says “rad” and “stoked” and “high fives!” a lot, then you may be right at home on this team.
Bonus points if you’ve got a fondness for social and web analytics, email marketing, and/or social advertising. Project management for in-house development projects is going to be a key part of this role, so some familiarity and experience with project management (or, an interest in learning and some demonstrated experience with helping teams get things done may work out just fine). Experience (and appreciation for) working remotely and/or independently is a plus. The title is TBD, since we’re not sure whether we’ll find these skills in one person for a staff hire or in multiple people for contractors / freelance contributions to the team, but you’ll be on our digital, content and social strategy team, and strongly leaning toward the “social” side.
We’d be really stoked if you were based in the Pacific Northwest or Boulder, but since we’re a virtual team, there is some geographic flexibility. We’ve also got offices in Durango, CO and Jackson, WY so trips to the office do not suck.
