SANTA ROSA, Calif. (September 10, 2009) – Buff, Inc., manufacturer of versatile, popular and multifunctional headwear popular among anglers worldwide, will be debuting an array of new fish skin and angler designs for Buff, Inc.’s cold weather models, the Polar Buffâ and Cyclone Buffâ, as well as the High Protection UV Buffâ at Fly Fishing Retailer 2009.

The Polar Buffâ will now include two new patterns designed by the renowned artist, fly fisherman and conservationist, Vaughn Cochran, under his Black Fly™ label, which include: the Bluewater Camo™ Polar Buffâ and the Fly Fish Or Die™ Polar Buffâ.

The Polar Buffâ is designed to provide the warmth, but not the weight for dusk or dawn fishing adventures, whether you’re on a boat in Alaska or breaking through ice to go after Steelhead. Nine inches of cozy PolarTecâ Classicâ microfleece transform the Original Buffâ into an essential fishing accessory for cold weather. Multiple configurations give you a protective layer option, keeping you warm in harsh outdoor conditions. The Polar Buffâ is extremely breathable and protects chapped lips, comforts cold ears and provides and exceptional layer of warmth.

The Cyclone Buffâ line will now incorporate the Steelhead Cyclone Buffâ, as well as the existing angler patterns, the Striper and Largemouth Bass Cyclone Buffâ.

The Cyclone Buffâ boasts various design advancements to keep you comfortable and extremely protected from the wind, snow, rain and hail. Buff, Inc. has enhanced the neckline design to fit comfortably under the collar of any jacket by extending the top section of double microfiber fabric by 15-percent and the bottom Windstopperâ panel to be slightly longer at the front to fit the shape of anyone’s neckline.

The original Cyclone Buffâ was developed in 2007 to cater towards those exposed to the fiercest elements. It has you protected with its combination of double layers of microfiber fabric for moisture management, Gore™ Windstopperâ panels for total wind blockage, and PolarTec 100â microfleece for softness, warmth and breathability.

The UV Buffâ line will now encompass the new Steelhead UV Buffâ and Carp UV Buffâ, as well as the latest Camu Fish UV Buffâ in Grey or Brown, which incorporates real fish scales in its pattern and is the first of it’s kind that Buff, Inc. knows of.

In addition, in the UV Buffâ line will now include seven new patterns designed by the renowned artist, fly fisherman and conservationist, Vaughn Cochran, under his Black Fly™ label, including: the Redfish Bright UV Buffâ, Vaughn’s Dorado UV Buffâ, Blue Bones UV Buffâ, Bluewater Fly UV Buffâ, Rolling Tarpon UV Buffâ, and the Fly Fish OR Die UV Buffâ.

The UV Buffâ is made from stretchy, seamless CoolMaxâ Extreme fabric that protects against 95-percent of harmful UV rays and absorbs the sun’s aggressive glare. Not only does the UV Buffâ provide dry, moisture-free comfort, but it has also been proven to reduce skin temperature and help maintain hydration for long days out fishing.

Additionally, the UV Buffâ is wind resistant and cuts wind and engine noise while you’re out cruising on the boat. The UV Buffâ also provides another layer of protection from insects and guards against flying water droplets.

All models mentioned above incorporate Polygieneâ for active odor control. Polygiene releases non-toxic silver ions that break down odor-causing bacteria to keep you and your Buff smelling fresh. Polygiene lasts the lifetime of the garment and is machine washable.

UV Buffâ--$23.00 MSRP

Polar Buffâ--$27.00 MSRP
