Zuke's is built on a simple premise. We love our pets and want what's best for them. It all began in 1995 while the Founder, Patrick Meiering, was on a hike with his dog, Zuke. Zuke had become exhausted, so Patrick broke off a piece of his energy bar for him and he perked right up. It was then that Patrick realized pets need healthy, all–natural treats, just as much as people do.

Zuke's is a company devoted to making healthy, affordable treats and chews using top-quality ingredients and formulas that reflect the latest scientific developments in animal wellness and nutrition. Zuke's dog and cat treats are made with care and are inspired by the unconditional love we receive from pets as well as the Zukes’ crew's devotion to an active, outdoor lifestyle.

All of Zuke’s dog and cat treats are made in the USA. All meats, grains, fruits and vegetables are sourced in the USA, with the exception of lamb and venison, which are supplied from New Zealand.  In addition to the domestic production, all of Zuke’s treats are hypoallergenic and do not contain wheat, corn and soy making for better digestion and a healthier, happier pet. With Zuke's treats you'll never find any harsh preservatives like BHA, added animal fat, nasty by–products or artificial colors or flavors.

Since 2001 Zuke’s has been headquartered in Durango, Colo. where they practice a green business model by powering their office with 100% green electricity, offer employees incentives to ride their bikes to work, and use 100% recycled paperboard for all of their dry treat packaging.

Zuke’s also supports a non-profit started by Meiering in memory of his companion. Each year, the company donates a portion of its profits to the Dog and Cat Cancer Fund.
