Marisa graduated in May 2017 from the University of Missouri with a B.S./B.A. in Marketing and moved to Boulder to join the Verde Team. Growing up in an active family it was easy for her to find her passion for the outdoors. From learning how to ski when she was three to spending most of her childhood at the base of the Sandia’s in Albuquerque she was never too far from adventure. Before joining Verde, Marisa interned for a PR and marketing agency in New York City that specialized in arts and entertainment clients. Chas Fisher’s dual pedigree makes him an ideal leader for Verde Brand Communications and Verde Strategy. First, in outdoor: He spent six years working with the National Outdoor Leadership School, leading hundreds of people on mountain expeditions throughout North America. He pioneered the indoor climbing industry in the U.S. by founding the Boulder Holds/Straight Up companies. He went on to take vital leadership roles with La Sportiva, Nikwax and Cascade Designs and is a board member and committee chair of the American Alpine Club.

Second, as a Verde Brand Communications client. Chas was the very first person to hire Verde to do public relations – that’s right, he was customer No. 1 back in 2002 when he was leading the marketing for La Sportiva. All in, Chas has been a Verde client through multiple brands totaling 13 years. He’s turned his intense focus and love for innovation to his role at Verde and is maniacal about building the agency of the future to bring expansion and growth to Verde’s family of clients. As Verde’s chief operating officer, Chas applies his astute leadership insights to ensuring that Verde is firing on all cylinders. In his off-time, he remains a die-hard climber, boulderer, and backcountry enthusiast.

Storytelling has always been at the forefront of Laura’s adventures – whether it be sharing the tales of experiences with friends, reading about the feats of mountaineers, or telling the story of a brand.  She also has a strong affinity for Vietnamese food and can whip up a set of fresh spring rolls on any given night.
