ABOUT VERDE BRAND COMMUNICATIONS:

Verde Brand Communications is a full-service public relations, branding, marketing, social media and consulting agency. Verde specializes in helping passion-driven businesses and brands expand and create unique and memorable outdoor experiences for their end-consumer base. Verde has strong roots in the outdoor, cycling, snowsports, travel, fitness, health and wellness, consumer electronics, pet and active lifestyle industries. We have offices and employees in Boulder, Colorado, Durango, Colo., Seattle, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

POSITION:

Account Coordinators assist the Account Managers and Directors on accounts. The Account Coordinator position is a supporting role, but encourages growth and creativity on a daily basis and holds great potential for moving up within the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete circulation reports, quarterly activity reports, and tactical plans

  • Draft press releases

  • Distribute press releases to media lists and contacts

  • Assist with the coordination and development of media lists

  • Build and manage media lists

  • Research editorial calendars for relevant opportunities

  • Support Verde's content solutions by helping organize editorial calendars

  • Assist with event planning, travel and appointment scheduling

  • Assist and implement creative social media campaigns

  • Tradeshow assistance/support as needed

  • Scan and clip maintenance of client “hits” in magazines and online

  • Update client media blogs and Best of Verde blog

  • Organize and manage stores of magazine back issues

  • Update and manage magazine subscription list

  • Prepare shipping and mailings to media

  • Promote goodwill inside and outside the agency by representing Verde in a professional manner

  • Support all staff with various tasks

  • Brainstorm content ideas

  • File/organization

  • Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of entire agency client list 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field 

  • At least one year of PR experience 

  • Journalism experience and social media experience are pluses

  • Familiarity with outdoor market, outdoor recreation 

  • Action-oriented and motivated

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Proactive and professional

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to multitask 

  • Ability to manage 

  • Ability to listen

  • Deadline-oriented: Meet all deadlines on time for clients, media, and agency

  • Desire to make a positive contribution through public relations and communications

  • Social media knowledge and experience executing in PR strategies

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Powerpoint or Keynote; Knowledge of PR industry tools such as Meltwater, Cision. Knowledge of Adobe Suite a plus

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Working remotely/home based is ok

  • Travel: Currently limited due to COVID, before COVID - travel was common 1-2 times/month
