BEND, Ore. – April 22, 2019 – The Conservation Alliance welcomes its newest member, Concept III, the premier resource for the performance textile industry. Through the partnership, Concept III joins a group of more than 230 like-minded companies to support the grassroots conservation community working to protect the wild places that benefit outdoor recreation. With the support of its members, The Conservation Alliance has contributed more than $22 million dollars since the organization was founded in 1989.
For 35 years, Concept III has helped source and produce some of the most advanced textiles available. The company is highly revered for working closely with the world’s premier mills and technology innovators and bringing their fabric-based creations to market. Today, Concept III’s customers include some of the world’s most iconic apparel brands.
“Joining The Conservation Alliance made perfect sense for us because we believe conservation is more than just a noble goal, we feel it’s our obligation,” said Chris Parkes, President of Concept III. “For years, we’ve proudly partnered with renowned global mills, distinguished universities, and beloved consumer brands to establish eco-friendly initiatives for textiles. Now, through our partnership with The Conservation Alliance, we’re better positioned to promote more environmental initiatives and develop more sustainable fabric-based innovations that further protect the lands we love. We’re proud of the work The Conservation Alliance does for the outdoors, and we’re thrilled to support their important mission.”
“We are excited to welcome Concept III into The Conservation Alliance membership,” said John Sterling, Executive Director of The Conservation Alliance. “Partnering with companies that share our dedication to conservation continues to drive efforts to protect our wild places. Together, we provide the much-needed funding to community-based campaigns working to protect threatened habitat and the places we recreate.”
