Therm-a-Rest Refreshes Honcho Poncho Collection for Spring 2026

Cozy classic receives new colors and sustainable material upgrades.

RENO, NV (Spring 2026) — Since 1971, Therm-a-Rest® has been a trusted source of warmth and comfort for campers everywhere. In spring 2026, the brand continues its legacy with a refreshed Honcho Poncho™ Collection, featuring the Honcho Poncho, Honcho Poncho Kids, and Honcho Poncho Down. The Honcho Poncho has earned a devoted following since its initial launch in 2016, and the collection has continued to grow since. In 2026, all three ponchos receive upgrades with new, more sustainable fabrics and vibrant new prints—showcasing Therm-a-Rest’s commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.

Honcho Poncho & Honcho Poncho Kids: New Colors and Eco-Conscious Insulation

Therm-a-Rest is reducing the collection’s ecological footprint while maintaining the cozy, reliable warmth the brand is known for. The Honcho Poncho and Honcho Poncho Kids are now PFAS-free and feature 85% recycled insulation, so users can enjoy the outdoors with confidence, knowing their gear is safe for both people and the planet. Refreshed colors and prints offer options for adventurers of all ages. For adults, available colors include Bone, Outerspace, Tangle, and Camo. The Honcho Poncho Kids is available in Woodland and Blue Stripe prints. These ponchos remain packed with essential features for camp and beyond, including compressible, water-resistant synthetic insulation and shell, excellent packability, and kangaroo and zip pockets for warmth and storage.

Honcho Poncho Down: PFAS-Free and New Colors for 2026

The Honcho Poncho Down receives two major updates in 2026: new PFC-free materials and all-new color options, including Twill and Storm. In addition to being PFC-free, its water-resistant shell is crafted from 100% recycled nylon, offering protection from the elements while helping you look and feel good. The 650-fill Hydrophobic Down ensures campers stay warm even in wet conditions. Designed for comfort and versatility, this premium down poncho features an anorak zipper, a three-panel fitted hood, and a refined snap layout—making it more like a jacket than a traditional poncho. Like its siblings, the Honcho Poncho Down is also compact and easy to pack.

“We’ve always believed that adventure should be as comfortable for the planet as it is for you,” said Chris Davis, Product Line Manager for Therm-a-Rest. “With the new Honcho Poncho line, we’ve added a splash of bold new colors inspired by the outdoors, and our most sustainable fabrics yet—so you can stay cozy, and feel good about your gear - whether you’re fireside or trailblazing.”

Therm-a-Rest’s Honcho Poncho lineup is engineered for real-world reliability and comfort. Every product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure dependable warmth and durability, embodying the brand’s promise of “warmth you can trust.” Whether for adults or kids, the Honcho Poncho series is designed to keep adventurers cozy, stylish, and ready for anything—rain or shine.

The new Therm-a-Rest Honcho Poncho, Honcho Poncho Kids, and Honcho Poncho Down will be available to consumers in spring 2026. For more information, visit www.thermarest.com.
